SeaWorld Elevates Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy and Marc Swanson to Permanent Membership on the Company’s Entertainment Exec Team
In May 2021, SeaWorld Entertainment elevated two interim leaders to permanent positions on the SeaWorld Entertainment Executive Team, Marc Swanson and Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy. Gulacsy has worked for SeaWorld for eight years. She brings her experience gained as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer and working closely with the Board of Directors to her position as permanent CFO and Treasurer on the Team. Swanson has logged 20 years of service with SeaWorld. As permanent Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the Team, Swanson brings his unique skills and experiences that will help strengthen the brand’s commitment to adding value for all stakeholders — the company, visitors, and animals.
Chairman of the Board of Directors, Scott Ross, recently shared his enthusiasm for the new appointments, indicating the move will help the brand continue to thrive, even during challenging economic times.
With a dozen regional theme and destination parks scattered across the US landscape, SeaWorld Entertainment welcomes millions of visitors to their sites each year. The company has an impressive portfolio of iconic brands, including Sesame Place, Sea Rescue, Aquatic, and Busch Gardens locations. Busch Gardens has two locations. One in Williamsburg, Virginia, and one in Tampa, Florida.
SeaWorld’s enormous success as a destination venue is partly driven by the brand’s commitment to rehabilitating injured, orphaned, and abandoned animals. Choosing leaders and Board Directors dedicated to SeaWorld’s mission, such as Marc Swanson and Elizabeth Castro Gulacsy, is another.
